If you’re interested in learning about what the Panasonic 4000 (Panasonic PT-AE4000) projector has in terms quality versus value, then you’re going to be very happy to learn that it’s one of the best and most affordable home theatre projectors on the market. What really makes the device stand out ahead from the competitors is the fact that it comes loaded with additional features that most people just do not expect to get from an average project. It gives you more flexibility of movement for instance, as it comes with a motorized 2:1 lens for zooming. There is also a Lens Memory function so gives it the ability to act as an anamorphic lens!
One of the things that really stands out is the fact that the brightness has been boosted a lot. The previous model AE3000 was not the best in terms of brightness, so the images produced were not that good to look at. However, this issue has been resolved here.

Disadvantages of the Panasonic 4000
There are two main drawbacks that relate to the product and they are as follows:
Setup – some people have complained that setting the projector required some time to study the manual. However, speaking from experience, the installation process should be very simple and straight forward. It doesn’t require a lot of technical knowledge to get the projector to work at the settings that you desire. Having said that though, there were some disgruntled comments regarding the installing of the device.
Brightness – there were other reviewers who mentioned that the project is not as brighter as other brands such as Epson. But I think this has to do with the users not understanding how to adjust the settings. Furthermore, the standard setting of the brightness as set by Panasonic should be more than adequate for most people to get a clear image projected.

In fact, if you can find another comparable machine at around the $2000 price range I highly recommend that you purchase that one. But, I know for a fact that the Panasonic 4000 (Panasonic PT-AE4000) really does set new ground rules for the home theater industry. The performance really is amazing considering the price you pay for it.
